                                          Terms and Conditions & Allergen Disclaimer


1. General Overview By placing an order with Boone's Bagels, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms regarding our food preparation and allergen policies.


2. Gluten-Free Disclaimer We are proud to offer bagels made with gluten-free ingredients to accommodate our customers’ dietary preferences. However, please be aware of the following:

  • Not a Gluten-Free Kitchen: Our products are prepared in a commercial kitchen that handles a high volume of wheat flour daily. Loose flour is often airborne, and despite our best cleaning efforts, cross-contact with gluten is possible.
  • Shared Equipment: While we do our best to prevent cross-contamination—such as wiping down surfaces and changing gloves—we utilize shared equipment, including ovens, toasters, and preparation surfaces.
  • Customer Discretion: If you have Celiac disease or a severe gluten sensitivity, please exercise judgment when ordering. We cannot guarantee that any item is 100% free of gluten.


3. General Allergen Notice In addition to wheat/gluten, our kitchen handles other common allergens, including but not limited to eggs, dairy, soy, tree nuts, seeds (such as sesame and poppy), and peanuts.

  • Our Process: When alerted to an allergy, our staff will take reasonable precautions to minimize risk. This includes washing hands, changing gloves, and using clean utensils where possible.
  • No Guarantee: Due to the open nature of our kitchen and the reliance on third-party suppliers for ingredients, we cannot guarantee the total absence of any specific allergen in our products.


4. Limitation of Liability Boone's Bagels accepts no liability for adverse reactions to food consumed or items one may come into contact with while eating our products. Customers with life-threatening allergies are advised to disclose this to management prior to ordering, though we reserve the right to decline service if we feel we cannot safely accommodate the dietary request.

Return and Refund Policy

 1. General Policy for Perishable Goods Because our bagels, spreads, and sandwiches are perishable food items, we do not accept returns in the traditional sense (i.e., we cannot resell items once they have left the counter). However, your satisfaction is our priority. If there is an issue with your order, please contact us immediately so we can make it right.


2. Order Errors or Quality Issues If we made a mistake (e.g., wrong bagel, missing ingredient, incorrect preparation) or if the quality of the food does not meet our standards:

  • In-Store: Please bring the item to the counter immediately. We will replace the item free of charge or issue a full refund for that specific item.
  • Takeout/Pick-up: Please call us at  240-309-4978  as soon as you notice the error. We may offer store credit, a replacement on your next visit, or a refund to your original payment method.
  • Requirement: To prevent abuse of this policy, we reserve the right to request that the original "defective" food item be returned or that a photo be provided before a refund or replacement is issued. We cannot offer refunds for food that has already been largely consumed.


3. Flavor/Texture Preference We take pride in our recipes. However, we cannot issue refunds simply because an item did not meet a personal taste preference (e.g., "This bagel is too chewy" or "I didn't like this cream cheese flavor"). If you are unhappy with your choice, please let a manager know; at our discretion, we may offer a discount on a different item to try.


4. Cancellations (Catering & Large Pre-Orders) For catering orders or orders exceeding 2 dozen bagels:

  • 24-Hour Notice: Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance of the scheduled pickup/delivery time will receive a full refund.
  • Less Than 24 Hours: Cancellations made within 24 hours of the pickup time may be subject to a cancellation fee of 50% to cover the cost of ingredients and labor already dedicated to the order.
  • No-Shows: Orders that are not picked up at the scheduled time are not eligible for a refund.
